Basa, also called Abacha, Abatsa, Basa-Benue, Bassa-Komo, Bassa-Kwomu, Rubasa, and Rubassa, is a Kainji language spoken in central Nigeria, in the vicinity of Bassa, Ankpa, Nasarawa, and Kwali Local Government Areas and of the city of Makurdi.[1]
Basa speakers also often speak Igala or Nupe.[1]
